Exposure triangle, calendar and critique

At last Thursday evening’s meeting, Alan Chowney gave a very informative short talk on the Exposure Triangle.

Club members then viewed images which had been submitted for possible inclusion in the club’s 2020 calendar. When the votes were counted, the top twelve images were selected and these will appear in this very popular publication.

During the final part of the evening a critique was carried out on another selection of images which had been put forward as possible entries for Round 2 of the NIPA Competition which on the landscape genre. Many helpful tips were offered as to how some of the images could be improved and there was much discussion as to what actually constituted a ‘landscape’ image.

This week’s meeting will take the form of a photo editing workshop where members will get the opportunity to share ideas and techniques.
