Horses galore - Jane Lazenby

The guest speaker at this week’s meeting was Jane Lazenby. Jane ‘Zoomed’ in from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, where she lives and works as a professional photographer and artist specialising in creating images of horses and people. She also teaches adults in further education and help them to develop their creative skills.

Several members of the club are horse enthusiasts and they in particular were looking forward to Jane’s talk, but it would be true to say that even those members who have no interest at all in horses were fascinated by what they heard and saw. Jane’s background is in fine arts and this, along with her creative flair, comes through in her photographs. She did also mention that she has an allergy to horses! She will be a hard act to follow.

At next week’s meeting the images which have been submitted for Round 1 of the NIPA competition will be judged. Members are also reminded at images for the club calendar must be submitted by the end of next week.
