The Johns have it!!

This week’s meeting saw the judging of images which had been submitted for Round 2 of the NIPA competition. It was on the genre of Abstract photography and, as usual, each member was allowed to submit a maximum of three images for each of the three sections. Matthew Canning, from Belfast Photo Imaging Club, had the unenviable task of allocating scores to each image and ultimately choosing the top four in each section; these will represent the club at NIPA near the end of November. The results are as follows:-

Mono. Joint first: John Knipe and Muriel Darling. Joint third: John Gallagher and John Knipe.

Colour prints. Joint first: Keith Wilson, Muriel Darling and John Knipe. Fourth: Alan Chowney

PDIs. Joint first: John McCullough, John Tweed, John McCullough and John Knipe.

In a change to the programme, next week’s guest speaker is Anne Given whose talk is entitled ‘Thick socks and thermal vests’.
