To Mount Fuji and beyond!

Updated: Nov 25, 2019

At last Thursday’s meeting club member and website designer extraordinaire Gary Cowan started the evening with an update of the features in the club’s new website. He passed the baton to John Knipe who gave a very interesting illustrated talk on his recent visit to Japan when he and his wife, Heather, climbed Mount Fuji in aid of The Cure Parkinson’s Trust. John thanked all those club members who had so generously sponsored him and helped to raise over £4100 for this very worthwhile cause.

During the last part of the meeting, members carried out a critique on images which were being considered for entry into Round 4 of the NIPA competition which is on the theme of Transport. There was much debate as to what constituted an image depicting the topic. What about a tractor, or a horse jumping over a fence?

At this week’s meeting, images which have been submitted for the Novice Competition will be judged.

PDIs should be submitted in the usual way by Saturday (23rd Nov) at 17.00. Prints should be brought on the night.
